The affected vehicles have a passenger side frontal air bag that may be susceptible to moisture intrusion which, over time, could cause the inflator to rupture upon its deployment.
CONSEQUENCE: In the event of a crash necessitating deployment of the passenger’s frontal air bag, the inflator could rupture with metal fragments striking the passenger seat occupant or other occupants possibly causing serious injury or death.
What you need to understand: The total of vehicles being recalled for defective airbags manufactured by Takata affects nearly 8 million vehicles in the United States alone. I own two of the recalled vehicles and the dealer does not have replacement air bags for them. I have a feeling that Takata is going to face bankruptcy before the problem is corrected. I hope, I’m wrong on that. Be sure to contact the dealer on for this Safety Recall. Link to recall

What you need to understand: For a short time Subaru made cars for Saab. It was pretty strange to open the hood to a Saab and be looking at a Subaru. These vehicle’s were nicknamed Saabarus. As mentioned earlier, the air bag issues will be on going and the list, I’m sure, will continue to grow. Be sure to contact the dealer regaurding this Safety Recall. Link to Recall

What is a recall?
When a manufacturer or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) determines that a car or item of motor vehicle equipment creates an unreasonable risk to safety or fails to meet minimum safety standards, the manufacturer is required to fix that car or equipment at no cost to the consumer. That can be done by repairing it, replacing it, offering a refund (for equipment) or, in rare cases, repurchasing the car.
The following recall may apply to one or more of your vehicles if your vehicle is listed below. Click on the NHTSA Campaign ID number below to read more about the safety issue and the reason for the recall.
