Back in the day
When I was a kid (yup here comes an old fart story) a lot of town roads were dirt. In those days the town would spray (actually just splash/dump) waste oil out of 55 gallon barrels from the back of a truck. It was effective at keeping summer dust down on a dirt road. In those days they would brush or spray used motor oil on their vehicles to stop rust. They even used waste oil for mosquito control by dumping it on water. Needless to say, they made a lot of environmental mistakes.
The search
As an automotive shop owner I’ve seen “many great running vehicles” go to the bone yard due to frame rust and body rot. I knew if I could find something that would stop rust like oil, these vehicles would still be on the road today. I was euphoric finding a food grade soybean based oil and chain/cable grease. Unfortunately it washed away easily.
Then, I gave Fluid Film a shot but it just didn’t suit me, and it had that “smell”. That’s why we use ECO friendly NHOU to protect your truck from rust.
NHOU spray rust prevention
NHOU is a mineral oil based corrosion resistant product that displaces moisture and cuts off oxygen. It forms a protective barrier against road salt and other corrosive elements. In addition, natural corrosion inhibitors are added to fight rust on a chemical level. The treatment is a self healing product and remains active, penetrating seams and hard to reach areas that sealants can’t reach.
Is it toxic; does it smell?
The answer is NO to both questions. NHOU products were developed with the environment in mind. It is a product that is not subject to TSCA nor is controlled by WHMIS as it presents no health or flammability hazards.

ECO friendly is important to us but more important to our childrens’ future.

Before treatment
Oxidation of metal is the most destructive natural force in the modern world for car and trucks. It is responsible for hundreds of thousands of automobiles being sent off to the bone yard for crushing.
Is corrosion shortening the life of your vehicle?
Fight back with the best mineral oil based Rustproofing system on the market! NH Oil Undercoating.
How soon can I wash my car?
You can wash your vehicle immediately after the treatment. Unlike other prevention methods, it will not trap moisture. It literally pushes it away, leaving behind a corrosion fighting lubricating film.
What is NHOU made from?
NHOU undercoating is a mineral oil based product. The technical term is “resolute oil”, otherwise known as mineral oil. It is a food safe grade oil, which means you actually could consume it in small quantities. Of course I’m not encouraging you to try, since mineral oil is used as a stool softener! Other uses for resolute oils; In personal care formulations and exacting pharmaceutical ointments. Other petrolatum applications include food processing, tanning, corrosion inhibitors, water repellents, as well as various lubricating uses.
NHOU has natural corrosion inhibitors otherwise known as “green inhibitors”, derived from plants and animal fats, and are all environmentally friendly. Contains no solvents or detergent, does not drip or give off VOC’s. Our NH Back-N-Black has a biodegradable tint, otherwise is the same as the clear product.
In our opinion, Minerial Oil-based rustproofing is the most forgiving way to treat corrosion
Here is how it works
Our product is formulated to displace moisture, the presence of which will deprive the surface of oxygen. When you take either out of the equation, oxidation cannot occur – so as long as product is present, rust is held at bay. NHOU will simultaneously fight corrosion on a chemical level as well. The presence of the NHOU will form a barrier to protect the surface. NHOU is formulated to migrate and creep. This is especially important to the weak areas of a vehicle – rocker panels, door panels, any areas that are, by design, prone to rust. The surfaces are generally unprotected with a finish (paint), prone to hold moisture and are very thin. Over the course of a warm month, it is not uncommon for our oil to move as much as several inches. In a crossmember of a pickup truck bed, that would encapsulate the entire inside surface area. Having some surface rust can actually be a plus. Much like using an abrasive to scuff a surface prior to applying a finish, the rust will give the product something to hang on to.
What can we treat?
Car and light trucks are not the only vehicles that benefit from our treatment. Large commercial trucks, large equipment, even salt spreaders’ operating life will be extended with NHOU. Annual treatment with NHOU will reduce operating costs due to corrosion. Extending the service life of all your equipment means a greater return on your investment and less down time due to problems caused by rust and corrosion.
Ford Trucks are prone to frame failure due to rust and corrosion

Third-party testing commissioned by Chevrolet found the Silverado HD allowed less twisting of its frame when subjected to uneven terrain than the F-250 Super Duty, whose tailgate could not be lowered at the conclusion of the stress test.
If you own a Ford truck you should be aware that due to design, they’re more likely to suffer major frame failure if rust and corrosion to the frame is left unchecked. Ford truck frames are lighter and do flex much more than other trucks. Frame failure due to rust and corrosion creates a vehicle that’s unsafe to operate, not to mention that the value of your investment is lost. A rusty, broken frame can end up sending your truck to the bone yard for recycling.
